The Electronics Show #4
Tommy Helgevold
We're modifying a Gamer Keyboard in this episode of The Electronics Show #4. Tired of the same old LED colour? Easy, swap out the diodes!
Oh, and at that last bit where I explain Ohms law in practice - I actually briefly had a little though impairment from working all day on the video and making the entire speech in one take (try that for 20 minutes yourself) so I it should be 1.4v divided by 0.020 A (20mA) to get your resistor needed to "burn" the 1.4 surplus V on a 5V source with a 3.6V Led running at 20mA.
I generally recommend using a lower amperage since the leds are so bright these days anyway, so you could easily run it at 10mA and it will be super bright and NOT damage your USB port.
