Solar FailBot V0.2
Tommy Helgevold
Small and simple solar bug that anyone can make, just for fun. Why not make one yourself. Your imagination controls it's actions, put some weights one, maybe two solar panels to make it change direction when it loses sunlight on one side? Four maybe? Maybe charge a capacitor? etc... sky's the limit.
The stuff used:
- Cheap half dollar wafer thin solar panel from eBay, 2v, 56mA, 3x3.5cm small.
- Used Cellphone Pager motor, you can rip them out of old cellphones, or probably find one cheap on eBay for around a dollar.
- 3 resistors as feet, why not 4? Use anything lightweight solder-able you have laying around.
Solder together, and have fun! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO-9KgAvbUo
