COUNTIF is an Excel function to count cells in a range that meet a single condition. COUNTIF can be used to count cells that contain dates, numbers, and text. Syntax =COUNTIF (range, criteria) Arguments range - The range of cells to count. criteria - The criteria that controls which cells should be counted.
SUMIF function returns the sum of cells that meet a single condition. Criteria can be applied to dates, numbers, and text. Syntax =SUMIF (range, criteria, [sum_range]) Arguments range - Range to apply criteria to. criteria - Criteria to apply. sum_range - [optional] Range to sum. If omitted, cells in range are summed.
