Based on data collected by AirHelp on quality of amenities, average delays, on-time performance, and compensation claim processing. Here are the 10 Worst Airlines in 2022.
Air Mauritius. Air Mauritius scored 6.1 out of 10, even though its punctuality and quality of service weren't too low, its horrendous claim processing scored just 3 out of 10.
TAP Portugal Airlines. Although doing better than Air Mauritius in terms of claim processing, TAP Portugal does worse on delays scoring just 5.2 out of 10.
Vueling. With a rating of just 6.02 out of 10, this Spanish Airline seems to do poorly in every aspect! Only 3 quarters of its flights are on time and on average, a claim will take well over a month just to receive a reply, let alone a solution.
Aerolineas Argentina. Rating 5.97, Aerolineas Argentina got an 8 in on-time performance and an 8.1 in quality of service, however, its incredibly slow at resolving or even just replying to claim issues, scoring just 1.8 out of 10.
Transavia. With 5.84 out of 10, this Dutch Airline is a low-cost Airline that has a low score because it is also low in quality, low in service, and low in punctuality.
Norwegian. Norwegian is another budget airline that cuts costs by cutting quality. Customers claim that the customer service is rude and unhelpful and although the flights may seem cheap, hidden fees will soon increase your bill.
Ryanair. Ryanair joins this list with a score of 5.6 out of 10 and while they don't do terribly in any of the categories they do manage to be mediocre in all of them.
Korean Air. Korean Air has somewhat of a monopoly on flights both in and out of South Korea. Even though their quality of service is pretty good, their punctuality is low and their claim processing is appalling. Customers claim that prices have increased drastically and that contacting a representative has now become impossible.
Kuwait Airways Not quite the worst Airline, but nearly! Scoring 5.4 out of 10, Kuwait Airlines is incredibly impunctual! In addition to this, its aircraft need updating and cleaning, as does the company image after banning an Israeli Woman from flying because of her nationality and a scandal involving a porn star in the cockpit.
EasyJet. Yes, the worst Airline in the world is Easyjet. Quality of service 7.0, On-time performance 6.7, claim processing 2.2, Easyjet fails to reach the mark in every category. But if you're looking for cheap flights, then Easyjet is the place to go, but just remember the saying, that probably should be the company's slogan. "You get what you pay for!"
