Fixing The Fan Noise on a Stock and a Modified Ender 3
Design Prototype Test
The Ender 3 is a bit noisy in it's stock configuration. To make it a whole lot quieter first fix the stepper motor noise. Next is the more substantial and difficult task of eliminating the fan noise. In this video I show you how to do just that.
Note: I didn't go over this in the video, but the Step-Down Voltage regulators are needed to run the 12v Noctua fans. I set up these prints to use the larger form factor of those units. You can find the actual units on ebay by searching "LM2596 Buck." They cost about a dollar coming from China. I show you how to adjust those in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-NJTaDUJ1M&feature=youtu.be&t=622

Fans: To find the fans on ebay do a search for "Noctua Redux NF-P12" and "Noctua 40mm" I paid about $16 for each fan with free shipping. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWyu72xOGD4
