Walking on the Sky Bridge at Gatlinburg Sky Park in Fall The Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge
Deepak Kumar Biswal
Have you ever wondered what it's like to walk on the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America? In this video, I'll take you on a thrilling adventure across the Sky Bridge at Gatlinburg Sky Park, where you'll see the stunning views of the Smoky Mountains and the town of Gatlinburg in fall.
The Sky Bridge is part of the Gatlinburg Sky Park, which is located at the top of Crockett Mountain, accessible by the iconic yellow chairlift. The Sky Park also features the Sky Lift, the Sky Center, the Sky Deck, and the Sky Trail, which are all included in the ticket price. You can enjoy unlimited rides on the Sky Lift, which takes you 500 feet up the mountain in a scenic and relaxing way. You can also explore the Sky Center, which is a climate-controlled building where you can get some snacks, drinks, and souvenirs, and admire the panoramic views from the windows. The Sky Deck is a multi-level outdoor area with fire pits, waterfalls, rocking chairs, benches, and an amphitheater, where you can relax and take in the beauty of nature.
But the main attraction of the Sky Park is the Sky Bridge, which is nearly 700 feet long, and has a 30-foot section of glass panels in the middle, where you can look down 500 feet to the ground. The bridge is not enclosed, but it has high railings for safety. You can walk across the bridge at your own pace, and feel the breeze and the sway of the bridge. The views from the bridge are amazing, especially in fall, when the leaves change colors and create a spectacular contrast with the blue sky. You can see the Smoky Mountains in all their glory, and the town of Gatlinburg below. You can also spot some landmarks, such as the Space Needle, the Sky Wheel, and the Ripley's Aquarium.
The Sky Bridge is a unique and exciting experience that you don't want to miss when you visit Gatlinburg. It's a great way to see the Smoky Mountains from a different perspective, and to challenge yourself if you're afraid of heights. It's also a great place to take photos and videos, and to share them with your friends and family.
