Let's build an Open-Source Home Computer (thing)

I want to build something that resembles what I came to love in a computer when I was a kid. It must be really easy to use, powerful, and with the capability to control and monitor other hardware. And it must be free and open right from the start.

It is my goal to create a mainboard for 3 microcontrollers that can mimic the operation of a mid 80s Home Computer, along with a set of support libraries to exploit its features.
