The Next OpenBazaar? Jo Skye on Particl, the Privacy-Obsessed Decentralized Marketplace

I had the great pleasure of sitting down and talking to Jo Skye of Particl, a decentralized marketplace and incentivized ecosystem reminiscent of the more well-known OpenBazaar. We talked the ins and outs of the project, how its decentralized marketplace works and protects privacy through several layers, including a differentiation between publicly-accessible marketplaces and private, invite-only markets for more discreet groups. We covered the underlying infrastructure of the project which incentivizes holders and merchants to grow the ecosystem.

We also discussed how relying on an internal token for purchases alone is a limitation, particularly for a relatively minor project, and how Particl must have instant conversion tools implemented so that users of more frequently-used cryptocurrencies like Dash can move in and out with ease via atomic swaps.
