Dry Box

Dry Box Filament Spool.
FDM printing filament tends to be hydroscopic, that is it absorbs moisture from the air over time. The rate at which it absorbs moisture depends on the type of filament your using.
If left in the open air too long, you may need to dry it, is that case check out this video: https://youtu.be/CfarMHHnIUs
To help stop the filament from absorbing moisture in the first place, we need to keep it sealed in a box. In this video we build a box with a spool roller and bulk head to let the filament out to accomplish this goal.
You will need: 1 x sealed food container large enough to hold a spool on filament with the opening, see the video. mine was 250mm x 260mm x 115mm, 5.5 Litre. I picked it up from the local supermarket for just under AU$13:00.
