Older iMacs (and windows machines) can have new life and 2020 software with Linux, and the process is actually very easy.

• Download Ubuntu
• Download Balena Etcher
• Insert the USB stick
• Launch Balena Etcher and install Ubuntu on the USB stick
• Insert USB stick on your Mac you want to update
• Hold Option on startup (or ALT on a windows keyboard)
