Cubemaps - how to make them for Skyrim SE using GIMP

A while ago, when looking for a nice cubemap, I found this amazing person, User name "Your Computer" had posted a GIMP plugin, that makes it possible to make a cube map of almost ANY texture or image you have, in a .DDS format in GIMP

you will need GIMP (obviously), as well as the plugin to generate the Cubemap Layers GIMP can be obtained here: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

as far as am aware, latest GIMP supports .DDS format natively

The ever so handy plugin, can be found with a google search: 'Cubemap layer generator for gimp' and press "I'm Feeling Lucky" - or hit the first result that comes up

The resulting page (which is a forum post) contains a link as well as instructions. (follow the instructions, I am not going to try and remake the wheel on that)
