4 things i learned in this Devlog

Well Its exactly what the Title says, I have almost finished making a level in unity. Play the intro(plays the intro)

After like 1 month of that first devlog(Please watch that by the way) I finally almost finished a level. Which taught me a REALLY_ valuable_ lesson. Lesson no 1 Gaming is hard. Oh, wait I mean game Development … game development is hard. But that was not the problem I faces cause the more you learn the better you get at it. Its not the end of the world. No 2 You should never_ever leave your work for more than one day especially if this is your first game because if you leave it for only two day, you will not understand whats going on . And in my case I left it 2 weeks because of homework and school and at one point I was learning video editing for YouTube videos because_ I have a Youtube channel hit the Like button smash the subscribe button and press the bell icon to get new video. So I was learning video editing and got so invested that I thought “you know what fck game development I am going to be a video editor for a living I am clearly good at it “, I soon found out video editing is a hard and like 2 days later I was making logos for my channel I was like fck video editing I am only going to make logos for a living , I am clearly good at . And soon I found out that this is even harder then making youtube videos cause you have to make it simple and elegant and every simple and elegant design is already taken. So I came back to game development which is the hardest of them all because I love challenges. Since I just went through a month just doing homework and video editing courses, when I came back, I forgot everything like what was going on. What I was making, how to make it.Like everything. So, at least give like an hour of your day it is not hard to find atleast one hour of time to do the thing you love Lesson no 3 Comment your code This is a really simple thing but yet so powerful cause Until now that was not helpful. Cause I was like” I know what I am doing. Commenting your code is stupid. Who would need that anyway but that_helped_me_alot. Cause within an hour I understood everything. Other wise the code was like looking at hieroglyphic. So ya remember to always comment your code . Lesson no4 Give atleast one hour of your time doing the thing you want This was the main lesson that I realized that if you don’t invest atleast one hour on the thing you want .You will not progress in it and that will make you feel like So guys invest atleast 1 hour of your time on the things you want , don’t waste it on something else .
