Testing 40mm LL buckshot reloads version 2
ChevTec Group
M1009 shells reloaded with new 4 piece shot canisters that I designed and 3d print. Instead of rubber balls I am using clay ball slingshot ammo. These are fired out of my NFA registered LMT M203 mounted on a fab defense standalone stock.
Version 2 of the shells introduced a 4 piece shot canister. It consists of a base wad, two halves of a tube, and a top cap to hold the shot balls in. This design seems to allow the shot to spread out as I intended. Both the top and bottom of the canister can be reused if found.
I also added a black powder booster over top of the blank propelling charge. The second shot had about 25% more than the first. I hope to find more powerful blank charges to eliminate the need for the black powder booster, as I don't care for the smoke or mess.
Hope you enjoy. Like and subscribe if you'd like to see more. Leave a comment if you have any questions or want to share encouragement. If people are interested I may sell these as kits in the near future. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymq-tV5DtDQ
