Breaking The Default Cube - Sphere Bounce - Blender - Cycles-X - Linux Mint - Cell Fracture
Bryon Lape
Time to apply the next item to learn from the Surfaced Studio's Blender tutorial on destroying an object: allowing the sphere to obey physics. During its flight into the scene and across the plane, the sphere is in animated mode and ignores physics. The frame before it contacts the default cube, it is switched back to following physics. This allows it to destroy the default cube and be affected by the pieces, falling to the floor and rolling off the plane.
Surfaced Studio has many Blender tutorials. The main one I followed for this animation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMhPrT0UWWs
Rendered in Blender 3.0 using Cycles-X on Linux Mint Desktop.
