Linux: How To Change Your Default Applications In XDG MIME

Setting default applications on Linux shouldn't be too difficult because their is a standard to do so in the form of xdg mime but every so often you'll run into programs that ignore that however that's not today's topic, today we're addressing the programs that do follow the xdg spec. For applications like this we can modify the default applications opened up by xdg open through the use of a program called xdg mime.
