Nvidia did Something AMAZING For Gaming!
Boot Sequence
Recently, I dove into the stuff that Nvidia talked about during their GDC panel, and I found quite the nugget of information. Honestly, it looks like 2022 will be a landmark year for FPS boosting technologies.
Alright, So, it seems like in 2022 we’ll have ALL the upscaling we’ll ever need. From AMD we now have RSR or Radeon Super Resolution.. which is compatible with thousands of games but has some limitations like only being compatible with AMD GPUs and of course, image quality suffering in some cases because it has to upscale the entire image, post-processing, and HUD included.
Then we of course have FSR and FSR 2.0, DLSS 2.0 or Deep Learning Super Sampling, Nvidia image Scaling or NIS, and the upcoming XeSS from intel.
Nvidia streamline comes in to make it easy for developers to bring in any of these technologies in our games. This means we’ll have FSR XeSS and DLSS in a lot of games going forward!
