EOL Quartz Alarm Clock hacked into a precision analogue device?
Beamer
Our Lorus quartz alarm clock got damaged and after many years of good service – it died. However, I took this opportunity to remove the PCB that drives this continuous hand movement clock and see what it’s like and what I saw impressed me. I then hacked it, resurrecting it as an interesting precision (0.00039%) analogue device? I show the clock board, test it and apply it to a breadboard design, produce a circuit diagram and explain the circuit of this application. *Please Like, Share, Comment, Subscribe and help me purchase more components for more projects/repairs.
