Breadboard to PCB via a gainful Stripboard, and beginners guide
Beamer
Resisting the urge to order a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), can be tough. After a lot of effort, you're itching to see your idea transformed into the best device possible. Absolutely a laudable notion, but hold your horses - is it really ready? The cost of a PCB can be deceptive, by the time you add P&P and tax, unless you're wealthy or commercially supported - you can't keep ordering new versions. So it's best (in my opinion), to complete your idea into a pre PCB model version to see if there are any wrinkles needing ironing out. Unforeseen features and physical shape changes can also present issues. DIY PCB manufacture can be time-consuming and error-prone. That's where a stripboard or Veroboard (other prototype boards are available :) comes in, it can nearly match PCB discrete component density, is significantly more reliable than a breadboard, is cheaper than a PCB and is versatile. There are some disadvantages and these are outlined in this video. I've also tried to make this prototype/stripboard information appealing to beginners. *Please Like, Share, Comment, Subscribe and help me purchase more components for more projects/repairs.
