Arduino analogue metered barometer - part 1
Beamer
This video (first part of a series), is about the making of an imperial measurement barometer (naturally, minus the mercury :) I’ve called it: Mercury(free), Arduino Barometer. Attempting to retain some semblance of antiquity look and feel; an analogue 5mA meter is used. Using an upcycled take-away box though, MAB is nowhere near as elegant as its former antique self, but elegance can have many forms ;) It also offers a few interesting features: A magnified deviation from normal average sea level null meter, a multicoloured LED rising/same/falling gauge (with sampling period of either 10 seconds or minutes), and integral to Arduino D to A conversion of 16 bits :)
Its take-away box was easily drilled and cut by hand (no power tools needed), and has proved surprisingly strong.
Arduino IDE is absolutely essential in the making and calibration of this project.
I would consider this project as challenging.
All making details and software will be made publicly available, they aren't complete yet and will be included subsequently.
