TESTING Overloud's 'ROCKGUY' - ZZ Top - Rough Boy

When I saw this Overloud TH-U plugin get announced I was VERY interested! Then, it came out for an introductory price of less than $30 and I had to get it! It's not bad. I still have a lot of learning to do with it. I tried some Boston with it. But, for the first two album's songs, it doesn't sound right. My presets for those albums sound better. I gotta try this on the 1986 (and newer) Boston stuff. In time. NOTE: The CHORUS/DELAY isn't on. The SETTINGS I had match the picture. The O/D pedal is for extra bite.

'Rough Boy' is from ZZ Top's 1985 album 'Afterburner' and is written by Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard

SPECIAL NOTE: I IMPROVISE a lot of the solos. If that bugs you, I don't know what to tell you. I like to put my own spin on things, sometimes, while staying within the framework of the song.

GUITAR: IYV ILS-300 Les Paul acquired in a local trade. All this one cost me was a couple practice amps and some other stuff. It's an EXCELLENT guitar! It was well taken care of and all I had to do was set it to my specs and put my 9-gauge strings on it. The 'Destiny CNC-wound' pickups are as awesome as they are on my IYV PRS copy!
