VSFTPD 2.3.4 exploit demonstration using Metasploit & Netcat methods
Avoiding Big Brother
This is the demonstration following on from the discussion on an old Linux exploit, VSFTPD 2.3.4 backdoor command execution. I showed both the metasploit and netcat methods but both had technical issues. To add to the netcat method, once you had logged in using the smiley face :), you would then change the port number from 21 to port 6200 to establish the backdoor. Unfortunately, netcat kept timing out and I could not show this next step.
This demonstration has been posted to Odysee only. Future exploit videos will include both discussion and the demonstration here on Odysee.
