Avoiding Big Brother
When you go online you might not realise that you are being watched. If you use a browser without adequate privacy and security features then social media sites can track where you go and what you do online.
They do this through the coding on the web pages that you visit and this video explains how it works. Social media companies are getting a bad reputation for collecting huge volumes of user data. You can never be sure what the motives are and there are some reports that suggest tech companies pass data on to governments.
