Botnet building kits are easily available to cybercriminals. Many newbies and criminals with limited skills can turn to cybercrime quite easily. This is a major contributing factor to the rise in botnet and DDOS attacks.

The costs to establish a botnet are not as much as you think and that means a low barrier to entry for a newbie cybercriminal.
