We have seen from the last video that peripheral based timers can be very useful for accurately measureing time and represent a much more elegant solution thatn using variable delay loops in software. Although we have cured the problems of inaccuracym we are still polling the timer which is an inefficient use of the processor time. To cure this inefficiency, we use interrupts.
