Pre-Charge Circuit MK2 - More Simulation and Live Testing
Apollo-NG
Today we are going to simulate a large battery bank and a high input capacitance load like an inverter to see how the new pre-charge circuit will perform after we figured out the real necessity for it during the stream 2 weeks ago. This basically applies to any DC/DC converter or DC/AC inverter (or other high capacitance load that allows heavy inrush currents) and high capacity battery banks, no matter if you use a diyBMS, Batrium, REC-BMS that use an external DC contactor or a Seplos, JBD/Overkill/Daly/JK-BMS or any other that uses MOSFETs for load/charge switching.
For the test today we will add an emergency-stop button and an input capacitance mock, to see some real world behavior of the circuit.
