Meshtastic Secure Off-Grid Comms - EP4

I have been following the Meshtastic LoRa based mesh networking development for quite a while and have been looking forward to finally get all the required pieces to make this special where we basically throw everything but the kitchensink into it. Meshtastic looks like the perfect candidate to build our own independent, off-grid (and also globally connected, while we still have internet) networks for ourselves, families and communities.

In this episode we are going to have a deeper look into the third category of meshtastic nodes: linux-native - running on small, embedded systems like a raspberry pi, odroid and similar, really lending themselves to be ethernet bound mqtt gateways and may also run in conjunction with ham relays/parrots like Pi-Star and MMDVM.
