I have been following the Meshtastic LoRa based mesh networking development for quite a while and have been looking forward to finally get all the required pieces to make this special where we basically throw everything but the kitchensink into it. Meshtastic looks like the perfect candidate to build our own independent, off-grid (and also globally connected, while we still have internet) networks for ourselves, families and communities. This episode is going to be about everything Meshtastic, the stack, available software and hardware and basically going through everything you would have to when dealing with it the first time, setting up private local channels, global public channels, admin channels for remote administration and getting the whole stack together.
