Remove Background Using Gimp for Beginners

How do you remove the background of an image and how do you do it for free? Using this beginners guide tutorial it is now possible using Gimp which is a free piece of software. You may be able to do a better job at removing a background using Photoshop and there may be better ways of doing it using Gimp but this is a quickest and easiest way i know of how to do it and you can get some very good results.
