Doas - The Better Less Bloated Alternative to Sudo

In this video I discuss the Doas command, it originated on BSD but has since been ported to several linux repositories (Arch AUR, the Gentoo ebuild repository, Hyperbola core etc...) Doas is simpler more "suckless" version of sudo that really only does what %99 of Linux desktop users need sudo to do which is run a command as root to install software or edit system files. You can install doas on gentoo with sudo emerge doas (which may be the last time you ever use sudo)

If you aren't on a Linux distro that has doas in its repository you could try to build it from souce using one of the github links below
