Logic gate as linear amplifier - how does it work ?

Could a CMOS 74HC04 inverter gate work as a linear amplifier ?

After some experiments I have no doubt it can ! The internal arrangement of a CMOS NOT gate is almost exactly the same as a NMOS commom source amplifier with an dynamic active PMOS load.

In this video we gonna see the simplest circuit that can be used and also how to use negative feedback around de gate to control de gain to precise levels.

I`m shure that I will be using this thecnique when I need a simple amplifier with high gain product bandwith, as in IF amplifiers, crystal ladder buffers and detection of small signal RF .
