J.D. started his photography business 50 years ago and he literally went door to door selling his services to businesses and public people. Now he is one of the most recognizable people in town.

J.D. has photographed mayors and governors. Billionaires and high school seniors and you'd be hard pressed to find someone that did not know the name J.D. Small.

J.D. credits much of his success to networking. He is involved all over the community in many different and diverse groups. But his number one trick that knocks his success out of the park is the followup.

We did this video at the Lansing Center where the MEDC (Michigan Economic Development Corp.) was doing their Pure Michigan Business Connect event.

It is an event where the MEDC gets small businesses like J.D.'s and mine to connect up with the big businesses. J.D. and I have been going to these events all over the state and we both enjoy a great success at them.
