OpenELEC Kodi - Raspberry Pi - microSD Card Install

A brief video showing how I created a bootable microSD card for my Raspberry Pi.
Or in other words, no need to purchase the SD card with Kodi pre-installed. You can make your own in a few minutes. This video is longer than the actual process. Plus this way you can invest in a good quality microSD card of whatever size you want.
This shows the process for a Raspberry Pi 2 but if you have a model B+, you simply select the single-core image vs. the quad-core image:
Then you'll need SD Formatter (for WIndows) or similar to format the SD card if its blank:
Then you'll need WIn32 DIsk IMager (or similar) to write the image to the SD card:
You'll also need to extract the disk image from the compressed download file, I used WInRAR:
Video was shot back in early March, 2015, so the disk image versions are older, but just grab the latest stable release and have at it. You probably want a fairly decent SD card, I used a Sandisk Extreme 16GB card, class 10. This card is essentially your hard disk.
The RaspBMC or now OSMC release is even easier to install, its a self-installing setup program that writes the SD card in one step, so no more difficult that installing some new program on your PC.
