Multi-Purpose Light Bar, Part 2

Construction details for a multi-purpose light bar to use as an AC load or a light dimmer or bulb tester.

I found a scrap of 5/4 wood in the garage that was just long enough to mount 4 Edison screw-in bulb sockets and an electrical box. Each socket has a small on/off switch and this lets the number of bulbs to be changed for use as an AC load. There's a DPDT toggle switch in the box to allow control over flow of power to the bulb sockets, either direct or via whatever device I have installed in the box.

I milled grooves and slots in the bottom of the board to recess the switches and wiring inside. I used 3 position Wago Lever Nut connectors for the wiring with 16ga. stranded wire. I later added an IEC socket on the front to accept a regular power plug to facilitate plugging into power for testing. And I also drilled a hole in the end to allow the light bar to be hung up when not in use.
