Eliminate stringing by using lube?

Can using an oil reduce or eliminate stringing and season your hotend? Taking the 3D Print Lube challenge to test out is this a myth or could it be fact? All testing was performed on the Ender 3 Pro using a stock hotend and bowden tube setup. Filament used: Hatchbox PLA True Yellow. These are my actual results, not a paid promotion.
