#Shorts According to the most recent data from the UK Office of National Statistics (ONS), the US economy had the worst performance among the Group of Seven most developed Western nations in the second quarter of 2022.

The G7 comparison was issued by the ONS along with news that the British economy shrank by 0.1% from April to June. The results show that during the same time, the American economy shrank by 0.2%.

The economy of Canada apparently performed the best, expanding by 1.1%. While Germany's economy stalled, so did that of Italy and France.
