WEF wants to microchip children. Would you implant a microchip in your child for tracking purposes? It sounds like Orwellian science fiction, doesn't it?

The author of a recent World Economic Forum essay on augmented reality claims that there are multiple "strong" justifications for implanting microchips in children.
"Ethical considerations rather than scientific capability will determine the upper limits of implants.
Should your child have a tracking chip implanted, for instance? There are good, sensible justifications for it, such as safety.
Do you really want to do it? The author of the WEF muses.
At addition to safety, the WEF advises parents to chip their kids to enhance their reality in school and treat attention deficit disorder by shutting out specific stimuli.
In order for the kids to genuinely remove their reality-dampening barriers, the author suggests using smart technology rather than actual implants.
"Many kids with attention deficit disorder have difficulty in school.
The ideal outcome is that they receive special education services or classroom modifications.
An otherwise capable child can manage in a typical school environment, though, with additional visual and audible guidance that masks out superfluous stimuli, according to the WEF report.
And they can simply take the aids off when the playing starts after class.
Children who are dyslexic could also benefit from having their skin chipped.
The WEF claims that for dyslexic people, human microchips might translate text in real time.
However, the author of the WEF report asserts that dyslexia is a "personal trait" and that society as a whole must decide whether to "accept human limitations linked with learning or aging."
Of course, this piece immediately sparked a great deal of internet debate given the nature of the subject matter and the notoriety of the Forum.
The WEF has therefore been forced to ask readers for assistance in "preventing the propagation of falsehoods."
